- Thanks to Bedford County fishing demi-gods, Dr. Territo and Dr. Lau for information provided within. -

Along with the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River (that runs throughout the County), there are 4 main creeks which provide excellent trout fishing. Click on the creek name to download the map of that quadrant.

BOB'S CREEK - Freestone Stream. Much of it flows through Blue Knob State Park and Game Lands #26.
YELLOW CREEK - Limestone Stream with 10 miles of stocked water, large boulders and deep pools (at the Loysburg Gap)and a delayed harvest fly fishing only area.
COVE CREEK - Limestone meadow stream, much of it on private land. Many landowners are happy to grant access.
WILL'S CREEK - Freestone Stream that parallels' much of Route 96. Great variety of topography with heavy current areas.

The Raystown Branch of the Juniata River flows from the Southwest Quadrant of the county to the Northeast. Trout fisherman will find satisfaction just west of Bedford (view the SW Quadrant map). There is usually a good supply of bass and panfish from Bedford, east. (view the Northeast quarter map). Notice the river from Everett, as it winds toward Breezewood and then toward Hopewell. Excellent for bass, beauty and little or no fishing pressure.
