Directions and Description: Directions from Turnpike Exit #146 (Bedford): Upon exiting Turnpike, turn right (onto Bus. Route 220) Drive 2 Miles. After crossing the river, go straight through 2 traffic lights. After two more blocks, turn right onto Watson Street. Drive one block. The museum is straight ahead. The National Museum of the American Coverlet gives coverlets the recognition and respect they deserve, while bringing their history to life. Now in its sixth year, it has welcomed visitors from around the world. Changing exhibitions are offered, generally showing 50 or more coverlets at a time, along with special events, classes, and a Shop. Directions and Description: Directions from Turnpike Exit #146 (Bedford): Upon exiting Turnpike, turn right and drive south on Bus Route 220. After crossing the river, turn right at the first light onto Pitt Street. Drive 1 block and turn right into Fort Bedford Drive. The museum is just ahead.
Description: Fort Bedford was a British Stockade built in 1758 as part of the French and Indian War campaign. Fort Bedford museum now has a main gallery, a transportation room, a rear gallery, mezzanine and gift shop. Inside, visitors will find the blockhouse structure that houses a large scale model of the original Fort depicting Forbes Road and the surrounding area. The Fort Bedford Museum displays a broad spectrum of history.

Description: On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, the U.S. came under attack when four commercial airliners were hijacked and used to strike targets on the ground. Nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives. Because of the actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard one of the planes, Flight 93, the attack on the U.S. Capitol was thwarted. This memorial is dedicated to the passengers and crew of Flight 93.
