Tucked away in the valley of Helixville (located in Schellsburg, PA) you'll find the Helixville Winery. The winery is the first in Bedford County and is operated by Rodney and Janet Giesel. Our story began with the purchase of the property in 1998 with hopes of establishing a winery ... which we've done. Our first steps were renovating the existing house and then removing the old barn and building the winery. Having planted a small vineyard that is approximately 2 acres at this time we still have plenty of room to expand. Our wines come from a selection of the 26 varieties of grapes grown in Pennsylvania. We have picked our 5 favorites for our current wines that are available at this time. We continue to expand our list.

Driving Directions:

From Johnstown, PA: Take route 56 east to Pleasantville / Alum Bank and turn right onto 96 south. Drive 7 miles and turn right onto Hoover Road. Follow 1 mile and turn right onto Helixville Road. Drive 2 miles and turn righto onto Tomco Road. Continue 2/10 mile to the Winery.

From Altoona / Bedford / Schellsburg: Take I99 south to Route 30 west. Drive Route 30 west to the traffic light in Schellsburg and turn north onto Route 96. Folllow 2 miles and turn left onto Hoover Road. Follow 1 mile and turn right onto Helixville Road. Drive 2 miles and turn righto onto Tomco Road. Continue 2/10 mile to the Winery.
