| Easy hike through the forest. Not quite as flat and easy as the Lake Shore Trail, but still fine for most children. If you want a longer hike, combine with Shawnee’s Field Trail. | ||||
Felton's Trail is an easy hiking trail located within Shawnee state park. This hike is about 2 miles and can take around and 1.5 to 2 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. Along this hike you will encounter small streams and a few small inclines. . This trail is suitable for families with school aged children. Use caution after a large rain, as there is a stream that can be running a little heavier than a typical day. This trail loops back to where it starts so it is convenient to park and walk without planning on a pick up. Along the trail you will encounter several other branches of other trails, but there are signs that clearly mark the path of Felton's Trail. The tail is large enough for side by side walking for much of it.
